Don’t get stuck on the train
You may find that your train is longer than the platform at some of our stations. This means the doors will not open where there’s no platform edge so you can get on and off the trains safely.
If you’re travelling to Mistley station from the Manningtree or Colchester direction, please travel in the back three coaches of the train. This only applies to our new trains with 5 coaches only.
If you’re travelling from Mistley station, please check if your destination has any door access requirements through its station information.

This station has step free access to both platforms HOWEVER, PLEASE NOTE. Step free Access to platform 1 (towards Manningtree) is via the Barrow Crossing at the end of the platform. This ramp is quite steep so may not be suitable for all.
