Cycles at our stations

We have over 10,000 cycle spaces at our stations and we are continuing to improve them by adding more cycle parking and improving lighting and security. Full information about cycle parking available at each station is published on our website and the National Rail website. Only leave your bike in our dedicated cycle parking – please do not lock your bike to fences, gates, furniture, lampposts or trees at our stations. It is safer and less inconvenient to other passengers if you park your bike in the correct cycle parking.

Check the news articles section of our website and our social media for updates on improvements to cycle parking including extra spaces and better lighting.

Secure fob or smart card-operated cycle enclosures are available at these stations for £25 a year. You can apply for a space via the station’s ticket office.

Will my bike be secure at your station?

Our cycle parking is protected by CCTV and new LED lighting. Many thousands of people park their bikes at our stations each year without a problem. Always lock your bike, using one or two high quality locks, such as a Sold Secure Diamond or Gold D-Lock, also known as a U-Lock. No matter how much your bike is worth, always choose the best lock you can afford. Join, the UK’s national police-approve bike register and marking scheme. We carry out regular reviews of bike security at our stations.

What if my bike is stolen from one of your stations?

If your bike is stolen from one of our stations, please report it to the police as soon as you can. They can then request CCTV footage from us as part of their investigation. We can only give CCTV footage to the police.
