Norwich to Great Yarmouth and Lowestoft
For Reedham and the Broads and the traditional resorts of Great Yarmouth and Lowestoft.
The journey from Norwich to the east coast is a real treat. The Wherry Lines travel right through the heart of the Norfolk Broads, and from your train window you have the perfect viewpoint of waterways, windmills and wildlife. Both lines follow the River Yare as far as Reedham. Stop for a walk along the riverbank or a ride on the old chain ferry. Branch north through isolated Berney Arms and the nature reserves of Halvergate Marshes & Breydon Water to the mecca of fun, Great Yarmouth. Or branch south through Somerleyton where thatched cottages cluster around the village green and the Hall has fabulous gardens and a maze. Continue to the watersports paradise of Oulton Broad, and on to Lowestoft’s clean, sandy beaches.
