Take in the thrilling Clacton air show which showcases an array of incredible fighter jets and a show-stopping performance from the Red Arrows. Just a short trip down the Essex coast is Walton-on-the-Naze, where you can keep the kids entertained for hours on end on the Pier, compete for the most strikes with your family on the bowling lanes and work together to unlock the prize resting precariously in the 2p machines.

With long sandy beaches and mile after mile of impressive greenery, you can see why Frinton is acknowledged as the best beach in Essex according to Trip Advisor.

Just a stone’s throw (or skim) away from London, is the much adored Southend-on-sea. With recent developments and the creation of child-friendly coves for the kids to paddle in, it’s well worth a visit. What’s more, a trip to Adventure Island is essential, even if it’s just to go test your bravery on the exhilarating Rage rollercoaster.

Suffolk Beaches

It may be renowned for being ‘sleepy’ but Suffolk can be the tranquil and idyllic escape from every day working life that you need.

A short journey from Ipswich will take you to the beautiful coastline at Felixstowe. There’s much more to this place than just being the main port in the UK, although that does make for fantastic viewing of the stunning cruise liners on a warm summer’s evening. There’s also coves to rival Southend’s and a top golf course and leisure centre on the seafront for you to enjoy.

Visit the most Easterly point of the UK and see the sun rise before anyone else on a lovely summer’s morning in Lowestoft. Known for it’s long-standing fishing harbour, you’ll be able to enjoy picturesque long walks and may even find yourself in Norfolk before you know it!

This county is blessed with a wealth of beautiful beaches. Sample the world famous Cromer crabs, join in the celebrations at the annual carnival and be entertained at the ‘End of Pier’ show. Just along the North Norfolk coastline is the scenic location of Sheringham and there's no better location for an ice cream by the beach.

Not forgetting everyone’s favourite, Great Yarmouth, with donkey rides and fish and chips on the beach an absolute must! Cool off from the soaring temperatures with a trip to the Pleasure Beach and prepare for a soaking on the log flumes.
