With varied, new and interesting stalls the Clacton covered market is the longest serving market in Clacton. Not only does the market offer this, but in the heart of the market sits a popular cafe which offers cakes and scones to enjoy

Clacton pier

Clacton’s most must-see site has to be Clactons pier. With not only various different rides ranging from Helter Skelters, dodgems and rollercoasters. There is also a wide range of things to do for all the family including adventure golf at their brand new 18 Hole all weather adventure golf course. With also the only figure of 8 golf double deck golf kart track in Europe. There is also the chance to see a wide range of tropical fish at their SeaQuarium located on the pier.

Why not whilst you're there also try to score a strike at the new, state-of-the-art tenpin bowling centre at Clacton Pavilion.

Water sports

This is the place to go for water sports in Essex. PUSH Kiting offers lessons in every kite sport under the sun or, if being underwater is more your thing, book a Try Dive at Clacton Scuba School.

Restaurants and pubs

There are also many different restaurants and pubs to enjoy in Clacton while on your visit. There is a wide range of different types of food such as Aroy Thai serving delicious Thai food. As well as this there are several different tea rooms located in the centre. Why not also visit El Guaca Mexican Grill which serves up tasty spicy food with a side of sea views. Not only this but Clacton also offers places to enjoy a drink by the sea such as at The Kingscliff Hotel, which is a short stroll along the promenade is 1930s classic where the rooms are bright and airy, the restaurant is busy and there’s an outdoor terrace to drink in the sea air.

Clacton also has a wide range of takeaway restaurants and fast food places including different fish and chip restaurants to be able to enjoy your dinner by the sea. As well as this there is also a wide range of chain fast food restaurants and many kiosks situated near the pier offering food such as ice cream and doughnuts to enjoy by the sea front.
