Plan your day out at Westfield Stratford City
You can easily make a day of it at Westfield Stratford City. As well as featuring over 250 stores, there are more than 80 places to eat and drink. You can also go bowling or catch the latest blockbuster movie at the 17-screen Vue cinema.
Covering an amazing 177,000 square metres, Westfield has a range of shops that's simply mind-boggling. As well as flagship stores such as John Lewis and M&S, there are exclusive outlets for leading global fashion brands, including Levi's, Adidas, Calvin Klein, DKNY, Gant, Hollister, Lacoste, Timberland and Tommy Hilfiger. Technology and entertainment are also well catered for with Apple, Sky and Virgin Media stores, as well as a selection of mobile phone and video game shops. And then there's the Village, home to 35 world-class luxury stores, including Prada, Louis Vuitton, Jimmy Choo and more.
The centre opens from 10am to 9pm on Mondays to Fridays, 9am to 9am on Saturdays and 12pm to 6pm on Sundays.
Visit the Westfield websiteIf all that shopping leaves you in need of a refresher, Westfield has plenty of places to rest your legs and enjoy a reviving tea, coffee or soft drink. M&S has a café and there are two Starbucks outlets, one on the ground floor and one on the lower ground floor. Taiwanese T4 offers a mouth-watering range of teas, including fragrant fruit infusions, while Boost is the place to go for fresh juices and smoothies. Alternatively, why not treat yourself at Searcy's Champagne Bar? Their decadent afternoon tea menu includes sandwiches, scones, jam, clotted cream, sweet treats and, of course, a glass of fizz.
With everything from Brazilian barbecue to Caribbean cuisine, Westfield has a world of choice, whether you’re in the mood for a light lunch or a three-course dinner. There are popular chains such as Nando's, Giraffe, the Gourmet Burger Kitchen and Jamie's Italian, as well more exotic establishments, including Mezze for authentic Lebanese cooking, Busaba Eathai for Thai treats and YO! Sushi for a taste of Tokyo. Fancy something a bit different? Head for Westfield's biggest and liveliest bar, the Bat and Ball. Serving great pizzas and craft beers, it also has a dozen championship ping pong tables for you to play on before, after or maybe even during your meal.
Westfield is quite simply take-away heaven. As well as the old favourites such as KFC, McDonald's and Subway, there are loads of other options, from Mr Pretzels to the Potbelly Sandwich Shop, a Chicago icon. There's also plenty of world-class street food on offer, including Japanese delicacies at Umai, Caribbean jerk cooking at Rhythm Kitchen and Chinese chow at Lotus Leaf. As for something sweet, the KitKat Chocolatory offers you a chance to create your very own Kitkat bar with your choice of luxury topping.
