Bittern Line

Norwich to Sheringham

For picturesque Wroxham, the Broads and Norfolk coast.

Tear yourself away from the fascination of medieval Norwich, and head north, through the picturesque Norfolk Broads. Look for waterbirds such as the pretty crested grebes dabbling on the water. Hop off the train at Wroxham to discover the waterways and wildlife on foot or by bike, or see the Bure Valley by steam train departing from Wroxham station. Continue through the Norfolk countryside until you catch your first glimpse of the sea as you head into Cromer, famous for its tantalisingly fresh crabs caught and sold locally. Further along the coastline, Sheringham is surrounded by wild expanses of woods and coastal heaths, and is home to the North Norfolk Railway.
