Greater Anglia Achieves Industry First with Season Ticket Innovation

Greater Anglia has become the first train operator to sell season tickets over the Internet for collection from ticket vending machines.

The innovation means that passengers can now purchase their monthly season tickets on the Greater Anglia website and collect them at the rail station self-service ticket machines up to 10 minutes before departure.

The development marks the completion of another of Greater Anglia’s franchise commitments and an industry first, with all ticket machines and the website being upgraded to accommodate this new service.

Andrew Goodrum, Greater Anglia’s Customer Service Director said: “I am pleased that we are leading the way with this latest customer service innovation which will allow our passengers to save time and avoid queues.”
