Employees from local train operator Greater Anglia have made a donation of over £1,000 to East Anglia’s Children’s Hospices (EACH).

Greater Anglia is supporting EACH with a donation following the company’s recent employee survey, where a contribution is made to a charity on behalf of the staff participating in the survey.

Staff who took part in the survey came from across the Greater Anglia network, including Norfolk, Suffolk, Essex, Cambridgeshire, Hertfordshire and London.

Greater Anglia employees chose EACH as one of their nominated charities and £1,181 was donated by Greater Anglia to the charity, as a result of the survey.

Andrew Goodrum Greater Anglia’s Customer Services Director said: “We’re pleased so many employees took the time to fill out the survey, it’s not only a really useful resource which helps us set our priorities over the coming year, but it has also helped the East Anglia’s Children’s Hospices, a charity that is close to our hearts and which serves our local community.”

EACH is a children's hospice charity providing care and support to life-threatened children and their families across Suffolk, Norfolk, Essex and Cambridgeshire.

Melissa Collett, EACH fundraiser, said: “We’d like to thank everyone at Greater Anglia for their generous support. At EACH we rely upon voluntary donations for the majority of our income, so this donation is very welcome. The funds will help us to provide care and support to life-threatened children and their families across the region.”
