Greater Anglia Welcomes Funding for Electric Car Charging Points

Abellio train operator Greater Anglia today welcomes the Government’s announcement regarding funding for electric car charge points.

20 Greater Anglia stations across Essex, Hertfordshire, Norfolk, Suffolk, Cambridgeshire and Greater London will benefit from the funding, which collectively represents an investment of £165,000.

The stations to benefit from the scheme are:

Bishops Stortford, Broxbourne, Cheshunt, Chingford, Ely, Gidea Park, Harold Wood, Highams Park, Harlow Town, Hertford East, Ilford, Ipswich, Norwich, Shenfield, Stansted Mountfitchet, Waltham Cross, Walthamstow Central, Wickford, Witham and South Woodham Ferrers Station.

Simone Bailey Greater Anglia’s Asset Management Director said: “We welcome today’s announcement by the government regarding funding for electric car charge points at 20 Greater Anglia stations. We are delighted to be included in the first wave of funding for this project and look forward to taking this project forward for the benefit of our customers.”
