Children can travel for less than the price of a sandwich this summer thanks to Abellio Greater Anglia’s new offer.

The train operator is offering the special off-peak fare to children aged between five and 15 on most routes across the network until September 23.

Andy Camp, Abellio Greater Anglia’s Commercial Director said: “This is a great opportunity for people to get out and explore the east of England. This new fare has been introduced following customer feedback and we hope it allows families to enjoy a great day out this summer and to make the most of the holidays.”

Pete Waters, Brand Manager at Visit East Anglia, said: “There are so many brilliant family day trips across the region and this is a perfect chance to enjoy them without the frustration of traffic jams and delays…arrive fresh and ready to have fun! Encouraging youngsters to get into the habit of using our excellent rail links is also great long-term for the environment.”

The offer runs until Wednesday 23 September. The child must be accompanied by an adult with an off-peak or super off-peak ticket, including a group of adults with GroupSave discounted tickets.
