Abellio train operator Greater Anglia has reported another good period of train service punctuality with 92.1% of all trains on time for the four-week performance period from 23 June to 20 July 2013.

Greater Anglia has continued to deliver improvements in train punctuality since taking over the franchise in February last year and this latest performance figure is the sixth consecutive four-week period where the operator has reported punctuality over 92%.

Punctuality for the various route sectors of the Greater Anglia network in the four-week period ended 20 July was: Metro & Southend 94.3%, West Anglia 93.4%, Mainline 91.5%, Stansted Express 90.2% and Rural 87.9%.

The moving annual average (MAA) punctuality figure – which measures performance over a 12 month period for all train services – is currently at 92.6%.

Ruud Haket, Managing Director Greater Anglia said: “We are continuing to work with our partners at Network Rail with the aim to deliver consistent and further improving levels of train service performance, building on the improvements in punctuality trends since we began operation of the franchise in February last year.

“We recognise there is more work to do in achieving those greater levels of consistency and will continue to concentrate our efforts to deliver further improvements in train punctuality across the region.”
