Train Performance for Period 5 (4 Weeks ended 16 August) is 87.5%

Train punctuality for Abellio Greater Anglia in the most recent four-week period ended 16 August 2014 is 87.5%, as published by Network Rail in the latest public performance measure (PPM) national train performance figures for the rail industry Period 5 (2014/15). The national performance figure for Period 5 covering all Britain’s railways is 88.8%.

In the route-by-route punctuality figures for Abellio Greater Anglia in Period 5, West Anglia route punctuality is 90%; Metro & Southend 88.8%; Stansted Express 87.4%; Rural 86.1% and Mainline 84.1%.

Period 5 was a challenging period of performance with delays caused by a number of infrastructure failures, engineering work problems, train faults, fatalities, flooding and road vehicles striking bridges.

The current moving annual average (MAA) performance figure to the end of Period 5 for Abellio Greater Anglia is 90.8% (this measures the average punctuality for the past 13 periods of train performance). The national MAA performance figure is 89.5%.
