A Greater Anglia employee is celebrating gaining a full Chartered Management Institute Level 5 Diploma, the benchmark qualification for full Chartered Management Institute membership.

In the last 12 months he has also been accepted as an Engineering Technician Member of the Institution of Mechanical Engineers.

Anthony, who lives in Thorrington, and who gained his apprenticeship with the Royal Air Force, has worked at Clacton Depot for around two years since its reopening, prior to this Anthony was a Technician at Ilford Car Sheds.

He now has ambitions to work towards Chartered Manager Status and manage at a strategic level within the rail industry.

Greater Anglia’s Depot Manager, Ian Brookes, said, “Anthony's capable and enthusiastic leadership of his team has been a key factor in enabling Clacton Depot to deliver its diverse workload. The three maintenance teams work hard to meet their daily requirements along with delivering a number of special projects including the upgrade programme of the ex London Midland trains that are now operated by Greater Anglia.”

Anthony commented, “Fitting this qualification around work has been challenging. I would like to say a big thank you to Ian Brookes and my colleagues at Clacton Depot for their support throughout.”
