Train operator Greater Anglia’s Asset Management team recently spent a day out and about around the network to undertake some gardening at a number of Greater Anglia stations, in an effort to enhance the environment.

The stations to benefit included: Harlow Town, Broxbourne, Cambridge, Southend Victoria, Goodmayes and Seven Kings.

The Greater Anglia team got to work clearing, weeding and digging over the flower beds or planters at the stations, pruning the existing shrubs and adding new plants and flowers to rejuvenate the displays. In some cases the displays incorporated seasonal bedding plants to bring a little instant colour to the stations, in others shrubs were included to provide all year round interest.

Simone Bailey Greater Anglia’s Asset Management Director said: “We were very pleased to spend the day at a number of Greater Anglia stations, in order to refresh the floral displays and brighten up the area for staff and customers alike. I’d like to thank everyone who helped on the day.”
