Greater Anglia’s West Runton station will resound to the clink of china on Saturday 25th August when the station sees the return of the popular tea party.

The West Runton station adopters will be holding their West Runton Station Tea Party on Saturday 25 August 2012 from 14.00 – 16.00.

Visitors to this scenic station will be able to enjoy a traditional afternoon tea, including buttered scones, jam and homemade cakes. In addition to this, there will also be a range of stalls selling local produce and second-hand goods. The Bittern Lines Community Rail Partnership will also be supporting the event with a stall.

Geraint Hughes, Greater Anglia’s Partnerships Manager commented: “The West Runton Station Tea Party is a fantastic day out for all of the family and a great favourite amongst the local community. What the station adopters achieve is remarkable. Not only do they make a delicious tea on the day, but they have also created a beautiful garden, which is looking better than ever. Greater Anglia would like to thank them for their efforts.”

The West Runton station adopters are keen gardeners. To support their efforts, all proceeds from the Tea party will contribute to the planting and upkeep of the station garden.

All are welcome to attend, so come along and join in the fun at the West Runton Tea Party and help the station garden to continue to flourish.

West Runton station is situated on the picturesque Bittern Line, which connects the ancient city of Norwich with the North Norfolk coastal towns of Cromer and Sheringham.
