Eat

The table, owned by the charismatic Vernon Blackmore, combines brilliant food with a lovely atmosphere. I also enjoy Honey+Harvey, which offers coffee, cake and sandwiches throughout the day.

Drink

My current favourite is The Angel. It is one of the oldest pubs in Suffolk, dating back to 1153. These days it serves over 200 varieties of gin.

Shop

For food, the family run Woodbridge Deli sells a wonderful range of cheeses and other products. I also like Chenevix Jewellery, run by Susannah Chenevix-Trench –
a qualified gemologist and designer.

Must-see

The Tide Mill, one of the first in the country, has a host of interactive activities. You can even see the huge waterwheel turn.

Sleep

The Crown, a boutique hotel with 10 bedrooms, oozes style and warmth. It also has a bustling bar and a terrace, as well as a good restaurant.
