Greater Anglia has recognised Cambridge North rail station employee, Sasha Migdal, for her fundraising efforts which have raised hundreds of pounds for local charities.

Sasha works as a Welcome Host at the station providing information and assistance to passengers, but also finds time to hold fundraising events at the station.

This Saturday, along with her colleague Lee Scott, she will be holding a cake sale in support of the Alzheimer’s Society.

She has also raised money for Cancer Research, Addenbrookes and Macmillan and set up a book swap area and a regular visit from a mobile library.

In presenting her with her award, manager, Anita Stuart, said, “Sasha works really hard helping customers, but has gone the extra mile in supporting the whole community with lovely events that raise money for great local causes.

“She’s an absolute star and she makes Cambridge North a warm and welcoming place which is valued by the whole community.”
