Greater Anglia is hosting a series of roadshows this spring to encourage people to consider a railway career.

The events, which will be held in Essex, Hertfordshire and London, will allow people to see what roles are available, from becoming a driver or working in our control room to helping customers at stations, to management roles in a variety of disciplines or leading teams and developing strategy.

Anyone who attends can learn more about what the company can offer, get any questions answered, from the series of events, which will also aim to break down common preconceptions and shatter some myths about the rail industry.

The roadshows will be held:

  • Monday 20 March: Jackson Square, Bishop’s Stortford between 0930-1700
  • Friday 24 March: Kingsland Shopping Centre, Hackney between 0930-1700
  • Monday 27 March: Victoria Shopping Centre, Southend between 0930-1700

Rose Merchant, Greater Anglia’s Talent Attraction Manager, said: “We’re excited to bring railway recruitment to shopping centres later this month, hopefully attracting some fresh and talented people to join us. The railway is a great place to work and offers many benefits.

“We’ll have a range of Greater Anglia staff there from drivers to members of the HR, people and development and recruitment teams who will be on hand to answer any in-depth questions you have.

“We can easily sign people up to any job alerts, as well as bust some myths about the industry.

“Come on down – we can’t wait to say hello.”
