Rail passengers in East Anglia can benefit from cheaper tickets as Greater Anglia launches a special Leap Year Flash Sale.

Customers can save 20% on selected advance and off-peak fares on journeys to/from London Liverpool Street, including London Liverpool Street to Cambridge, Ipswich to London Liverpool Street, and Chelmsford to London Liverpool Street.

Customers need to use the code ‘LEAP20’ when booking to benefit from the discount.

The discounted tickets will be available to purchase between 28 February and 23.59 on 1 March, for journeys between 4 March and 22 March.

Tickets, which will be issued as e-tickets, can only be booked online exclusively at greateranglia.co.uk, via the Greater Anglia app, or by calling the Greater Anglia contact centre (0345 600 7245 option 2) where customers can purchase tickets without booking fees.

Martin Moran, Commercial Director, Greater Anglia, said:

“Travelling by train is cheaper than you think, and Greater Anglia’s Leap Year Flash Sale means people can travel for even less.

“There is so much to see and do in our region and whether it’s a trip to the city or coast, shopping or sightseeing, we are giving people more money to spend on having a great time by helping them save money on their train fare.”

Greater Anglia also has a range of great value fares which are available all year round, including GroupSave for people travelling in a group of three or more, a special London evening out fare for those staying overnight in the capital and a Club 50 discount for those aged 50 over.

For the best value fares, passengers should book in advance and the earlier customers book, the more they can save.

Railcard and other discounts cannot be used in conjunction with this offer. For full terms and conditions see www.greateranglia.co.uk/sale
