Greater Anglia is putting in additional stops on trains this weekend to coincide with the annual Worstead Festival.

This weekend, every train on the Bittern line between Norwich and Sheringham, and Sheringham and Norwich, will call at Worstead.

On Saturday, eight trains will make additional stops at Worstead, and on Sunday an additional 12 trains will call there.

James Reeve, Greater Anglia’s Area Customer Service Manager, said: “We are very pleased to be supporting the Worstead festival by ensuring all Bittern Line trains stop there this weekend. We hope people enjoy the weekend.”

A spokesperson for the Bittern Line Community Rail Partnership said: “The Bittern Line Community Rail Partnership is pleased to work with Greater Anglia to provide additional stops at Worstead Station enabling more people to enjoy the superb festival again this year.”

This highly popular weekend festival has been running for more than 50 years and offers families a great day out in Norfolk, while raising funds for charity.

The festival field is approximately a fifteen-minute walk away from Worstead station.
