Rail passengers in East Anglia will be able to meet local managers from three train operators at Cambridge next week, to discuss any issues customers wish to raise and to talk about the impact of the planned engineering work which is taking place this winter.

The Meet the Manager session will take place at Cambridge railway station on Wednesday 8 November, between 07.00 and 09.30.

Managers from Greater Anglia, Cross Country, and Great Northern will be available to discuss a range of topics, including upcoming major engineering work.

Most notably, on Sunday 3 December, in connection with construction work for the new Cambridge South station, rail lines will be closed between Audley End and Cambridge.

As a result, on that day there will be no direct trains between Cambridge station and London Kings Cross/Liverpool Street, or between Cambridge and Stansted Airport.

Trains from London Liverpool Street to Cambridge will start/terminate at Audley End, connecting into rail replacement bus services to/from Cambridge North. A frequent train service will operate between Cambridge North and Cambridge.

Anita Stuart, Greater Anglia Area Customer Service Manager, said:

“We are looking forward to speaking to customers at this event.

“Services will be heavily affected by engineering work on Sunday 3 December, and we want to make sure people are aware so they can plan ahead.

“There’s always plenty to talk about and we’re really looking forward to having a chat with our customers.”
