Rail passengers in Norwich will have a greater selection of drinks and snacks when a Marks and Spencer food store opens early next month.

M&S Simply Food will open at Norwich station, opposite the ticket office, on 5 December.

Up to 20 people will be employed at the new store, which is open from 07.00 until 22.00 Monday to Friday, 08.00 to 21.00 on Saturdays and between 09.00 and 21.00 on Sundays.

Simone Bailey, Greater Anglia’s Asset Management Director, said: “We are very pleased to welcome M&S Simply Food to Norwich station. Passengers tell us that they want a range of facilities at stations and we are sure the new store will be popular with customers.

“This year we have welcomed Subway to the station and the Co-Op food store has also been refurbished.”

Stephen Russell, Head of Retail for M&S Rail Stores said, “We’re excited to be opening in Norwich Station in December. Our newest Food store will have a tailored range of quality products for customers to enjoy on the move or to take home for dinner that evening.”
