Santa’s reindeer will welcome rail passengers using Norwich station on Friday as Greater Anglia hosts a Christmas Market on the concourse.

The market will run from 1-7pm on Friday 14th December, bringing festive cheer to people as they pass through the station – with a choir singing and a variety of stalls selling local fayre, arts and crafts.

The reindeer, kindly sponsored by the East of England Co-Op - who recently opened a new store at the station, will be at the station from 3-5pm.

During the event, Norwich station staff will be fundraising for the Alzheimer’s Society, building on the £10K they have already raised for charities during the year.

Greater Anglia’s Welcome Host and Employee of the Year, Nicola Garwood, who has organised the event, said, “We’re really excited to host our first Christmas Market - complete with reindeer and choir - and would like to thank the Co-Op for their support.

“We hope people using the station will enjoy the atmosphere and the opportunity to find some last minute, quality gifts from the fantastic local producers we have in the county, and give generously to the Alzheimer’s Society to help people with Dementia, a cause that is close to the hearts of staff and customers.”
