Disruption between Wickford & Southminster

What is happening?

The line between Wickford and Southminster has re-opened following an operational incident at Southminster station. However, there are still residual delays and some amendments affecting our services whilst we try to get trains running to their advertised times again.

How does this affect my journey?

Trains running through the area in both directions can now run normally. However, delays of up to 30 minutes may affect some services until we restore our full timetable on the branch.

How can I get to where I need to be?

You should continue to travel as originally planned. However, your journey may be delayed by up to 30 minutes. We still have rail replacement buses operated by Ensignbus conveying our passengers between North Fambridge and Southminster. Please allow extra time for your journey.

Greater Anglia and Network Rail are sorry if your journey has been affected by this disruption.

  • Advance purchase tickets holders will be allowed to travel on earlier or later trains.
  • Check your next train and alternative options using our new live map
  • Specific train service alterations are available on our JourneyCheck.
