Train service disruption all routes

Due to forecasted high winds all lines are closed.

Impact

Train services running across the whole Greater Anglia network may be suspended. Disruption is expected until further notice.

Customer Advice

Due to multiple incidents of trees on the line/ trees blocking the railway services are suspended on all routes.

A break in train services is being taken for Network Rail staff to remove trees and repair the infrastructure before we are able to run a service.

Incident information:

Trees on the line in various locations across Greater Anglia need to be cut back and removed.

Trees on the overhead electric lines need to be removed and fires put out, and infrastructure damaged, repaired.

This will take some time due to the implications of the weather and staff to cover all the incidents.
