Due to high winds earlier some lines are closed. Disruption is expected until the end of the day.
Impact
- Train services between Cambridge and London Liverpool Street have been diverted to Stansted Airport. All stations between Stansted Mountfitchet and Roydon will not be served.
- Train services between Marks Tey and Sudbury have been suspended.
- Train services between Stansted Airport and London Liverpool Street via Tottenham Hale have been suspended.
- Train services between Wickford and Southminster have been suspended.
Service Information
As a result of Storm Eunice, some of our network remains closed for the remainder of the weekend. Response teams have been working tirelessly on repairs to clear the lines so that they may re-open, but the following routes remain closed.
Please DO NOT TRAVEL as there is no alternative transport available.All other lines have reopened, but it is possible that there may be disruption owing to the storm.
- GE Mainline and Branch lines
- Southminster Line - Heavy damage to the overhead electric wires and one of our trains means we cannot re-open this line until these have been repaired and cleared.
- Sudbury Line - Damage to the railway infrastructure that requires attention so we'll be unable to re-open this line until this has been completed.
- West Anglia
- Many trees have fallen in the Stansted Mountfitchet area, and these have damaged the overhead electric wires as well as the surrounding equipment & infrastructure. Network Rail are working tirelessly on repairs but it is likely the line will remain closed for the weekend.
- Train services between Cambridge and London Liverpool Street have been diverted to Stansted Airport.

Please note that planned engineering work also affects journeys today, with no trains between;

- Cambridge and Audley End, until 08:30
