Storm Franklin Monday 21 February service amendments

Essential travel only issued for East Anglia

We will try to run the best service we can for customers on Monday 21st February. It is very likely that journeys will be substantially longer and there are likely to be short notice changes to timetables. Please check the GA website for the latest and most accurate information

Planned services for Monday 21st February 2022

Some services will not be running as train frequency is due to be reduced on many routes. The planned service frequency will be as follows:

Service part suspended

  • Wickford to Southminster- Bus to run North Fambridge to Southminster.

Half hourly train service

  • Southend Victoria to London Liverpool Street
  • Colchester to Chelmsford - Services are unable to run between Shenfield and Chelmsford
  • Stansted Airport to London Liverpool Street
  • Cambridge, Bishop’s Stortford to London Liverpool Street
  • Hertford East to London Liverpool Street

Hourly train service

  • Norwich to Colchester Intercity services will terminate at Colchester. Please change at Colchester for onward services to London.
  • Ipswich to Chelmsford - Sercies are unable to run between Shenfield and Chelmsford

  • Walton-on-the-Naze to Thorpe-le-Soken
  • Clacton-on-Sea to Colchester (Will call at Colchester Town)
  • Witham to Braintree
  • Marks Tey to Sudbury
  • Norwich to Great Yarmouth
  • Norwich to Stansted Airport will terminate at Cambridge
  • Norwich to Lowestoft
  • Manningtree to Harwich Town

Two hourly train service (once every two hours)

  • Norwich to Sheringham
  • Ipswich to Cambridge
  • Ipswich to Lowestoft
  • Ipswich to Felixstowe
  • Ipswich to Peterborough

Refunds or changing my tickets free of charge

If you’ve bought a ticket for Friday 18th, Saturday 19th, Sunday 20th, Monday 21st and Tuesday 22nd February but choose not to travel, you can obtain a full refund with no administration fee charged, by returning it to the train operator or retailer from whom you purchased it.

You can rearrange your travel for a different date without being charged an admin fee for Advance, Anytime, Off-Peak and Super Off-Peak tickets. See Book with Confidence.
